RED DATTERINO
The red datterino tomato is distinguished from other tomato varieties for its typical elongated date shaped berries. The red datterino by Così Com’è is characterized by its high sweetness, almost double the one of a classic tomato, for its intense flavor and extremely thin skin with a bright red color. This type of tomato has such a consistency that it can be stored longer after harvesting.
YELLOW DATTERINO
The yellow datterino tomato is the true “progenitor” of the tomato. When it was exported from the distant Americas to Europe, it was used only for ornamental purposes, due to its extraordinary beauty. But it is precisely from this variety that the Italians coined the expression “golden apple”. The yellow datterino by Così Com’è is an extraordinary tomato, which combines extreme sweetness and low acidity with a bright yellow color.
PIZZUTELLO
Pizzutello is a typical variety from Campania that is particularly resistant, even to the most arid climates. The credit goes to the sun and the earth for its tasty pulp, firm and fleshy with a balanced flavor. The Pizzutello by Così Com’è has the taste of an authentic and original tomato, which makes it ideal for both quick dishes and long cooking recipes. With an oval shape, it has the characteristic pointed apex, in the Campania dialect “pizzuto”, hence the name “pizzutello” and, when fully ripe, it assumes a bright red color.
